One thing in the completed machine and then looking in early photos, I noticed your bike has an internal throttle cable actuator ala Harley.
Would you like to inform us as to that throttle came about, and how it was installed in the handle bar end?

That throttle assemble is a aftermarket direct copy of a unit from a Honda Trail 90.
I had to machine a slot in the bar to install it. I used the same setup on my last build, they work great.

Is there anything inside if somewhat hollow, what is supporting the engine below it?

The bike is marvelous!

The piece under the engine is hollow, basically needed a motor mount and decided to build it this way to give the engine more “body” .
Now what is a “chaff sprinkler” ?

Just what I thought. Some years back, I did lots of looking and the Trail 90 throttle guts are the only internal that fit a standard bicycle handle bar internally. Seems if I recall the push-pull button slot was machined as a helix. Whereas the best I could do is mill a angled slot.
Did you save any photos and metric details of the throttle slot?
I have a bag of the Trail 90 throttle parts and would like to use them to replace the clunky Flyer twist grip.

No helix slot involved Tom, just a straight slot with a round hole at the end. I’ll see if I can get some pics and dimensions from a new handle bar today.

I was wrong, the throttle assembly was a aftermarket direct replacement kit for a Honda Trail 70.
I took some measurements off of a new Honda handle bar, I machined this slot in my bar and used the kit and it worked great.
Don’t mind my hand written notes, it’s the specs that count.

I knew about the headlamp shield from Grand Parents that did drive with those on their automobile during WW2, but it was before my time.

Chaff, the stuff that aircraft expel to throw off a moving target, the little metal fragments or maybe it is like tinsel.

I wonder if the post about the mini fold up motorcycle that the Brits would shove out aircraft in post I made elsewhere on MB. Forgot where?

This all to have faster than hiking near enemy lines.
