I have a young grandson with slight learning disabilities . I think as far as school goes he would do pretty well if he were just taught the 3 Rs and this modern crap was left for the children that can handle it . I have always reminded him for years to never give up and always keep trying . He is entering High School next fall and will be taking courses for a general diploma . Those are courses that have been detuned for children that are behind the learning curve. Most of the children who graduated High School up to the 1990s have a similar diploma and are able to go on to a college or military or factory . I had to practice what I preached to him for myself ,starting last June when the headaches began and later in September when I finally went to see a doctor. Through October, November and on and on until even today battling the side effects of chemo and radiation has been an everyday all day war . I hate my discomfort but I love being alive . They told me going untreated would have me gone in 6 months . I won so far . The doctors said they could cure me . I will rest easier in 5 years when they tell me I am still cancer free . They told me that they gave me the most aggressive treatment a human can tolerate . I kicked Cancer's ass for now . I will never give up and always keep trying.
