Need input on performance build

Hey everyone,

So I just did my first build with a Chinese 80cc on a roadmaster bicycle to see if I would like it; well go figure, I love it. Now I want to build a performance bike and need input. I have a budget of about $1,000 and want to stick with two strokes. The cruiser style with forks and front disc brake is what I have been eyeing up. I like the in-frame tank and mag wheels but they are not a necessity. My goal is something with top-end speed, some style and easing up on the vibration. Using the bike berry website, what would you all suggest? Boost bottle, reed, CDI's, etc...Looking forward to everyone's input!

Hi,

Have you looked at any good used bikes? Try to find something that already has quality wheels, components & a good front disc brake,

Yea i looked around the local area. Im more curious about what performance parts are recommended. There is so many out there and not sure which are worth it. In ranking order, which is most vakuable?
Ported manifold
Piston
Boost bottle
?

I don't recommend a boost bottle, they are a waste of time and money. You will do much better with a good expansion pipe and a 4 peddle Reed Valve.

I am upgrading to Zeda 80 triple 40 engine with Dio Reed OKO Carb, expansion pipe, high compression fred head, & 36 tooth sprocket. Will post how it goes so other can learn from what I do wrong.

There's ten thousand threads (give or take) about performance upgrades posted... geez. Nevermind. I can't type a ******* sentence without some piece of crap ad or offer popping up. This site sucks now.

How is your bike running it looks very simular to want I am about to buy.

It's running awesome! I just put the reed valve on and the thing is 0-30 mph in about 4 seconds. My engine is a PK80, 69cc with the short connection rod and the lower wrist pin location. It's got the 47mm cylinder and a windowed piston, 40mm stroke. My friend who works at a machine shop ported the input/exhaust/transfer ports for me on a mill and decked the cylinder to a squish gap of .03". I'm using an imitation Fred head (.6) and a MZMiami expansion pipe with a FMF Powercore2 silencer. I'm using a CDH-G2 4 peddle reed valve. I'm using a Dellorto Clone Carb (HT/RT) 15mm, nothing special. Sometimes I think I should upgrade it but then I think, why? The thing flies as fast as I care to go on a bicycle. I don't have mag wheels but I do have double walled rims. I'm using a clam shell sprocket adapter with a 40 tooth rear sprocket to handle some steep hills where I live. I am using a 7 speed rear hub, I was going to put a shift kit on it but decided later to go with the reed valve instead. I'm using a Wippermann Connex 1R8 BMX chain for the engine chain. I've got a disc brake in the front and a rim brake on the back. My frame is a GT2-A Sky-hawk.

Yeah, it's my phone. The bottom ads block what I'm trying to type, slow it down when they change, and sometimes shuts down what I'm typing before I fin
