Actually the cdi works really well mounted on the motor, I've got an insulating pad underneath it and it is wrapped with aluminum heat tape, I just think it looks cleaner there...
The grips can be had at any local motorcycle shop, they cost me 20 bucks and are sized for 7/8 bars. The right one is oversized to fit your throttle tube. They are a little longer than stock ones.
when you say the right one is oversized. is like a one inch or what? what did you do with the origanal grip, cut the rubber part off? the reason I ask is because I'm so tired of my hands vibrating so much. thanks
even the original grip is oversized for the throttle tube, just slice the grip off with a razor blade and slip the new one on with a little water and dish soap.
You can even fight on regular-sized bike grips, provided they're the uber-squishy ones you'd want anyway. After runnin' the rock hard, kit supplied grips for a while I spent 1/2hr with some HOT soapy water and got my Schwinn grips on...
OMG - they're sooooo much better
For properly sized replacement grips - hairspray works ossum. Spray the bar and slide the grip on while it's still wet, when it dries it's goin' nowhere
