So I been looking at mopeds.
The ARE different !

I'm NOT gonna give up my MAB, but I LIKE 'em!

Not one single person ever asked me about the moped I bought, yet at least one person be ride stops me to talk about my motorized bike. You be the judge.

Thats an electric model. real cool lookin. I like the 3 wheeler in the background too. I accquired 2 chinese scooters, rated as Mopeds in Louisiana, No pedals LOL WTF

No insurance or plates ect. If you remove the 25 mph electronic speed limiter, they will do about 40 mph.

These things are lightyears ahead of MAB's as far as reliability, efficency and safty. And Cheap for what you shell out. Advertised for $450 but about $750 after shipping ect.

You're right about the coolness factor though. Hardly anybody sez anything about the Chinese scooters but everybody has a reaction to the MAB's

Scooters, mopeds, motored bikes, each has a place.
I spent many years stationed at places around the world where mopeds sure made a lot of sense.

Yah, W, I like them 3 wheelers, too.
I don't think our gubment allows 'em into the country. They are doing their best to protect us, I think.

Not sure about the one in the pic with the china doll, but here's the Piaggio Ape 50. I like them a lot ! I think they also come with a diesel engine abt 150cc.
It seems one of them would do very well for all I need to do, these days...
My days of horsing around a 1 ton dually are passed.

The moment GM makes them the laws will change. Of course GM won't make them unless they cost $45,000 and get 18 miles to the gallon to help their gas producing partners.

...or all the thangs like road grit that seem to pop up while in transit...

...But a helmet might mess up her hair! LOL

My btr half likes bikes ...when I can coax her into riding one of 'em.

Rohmell: It's a full-face 'sun visor'. It's got pivot points at the headband like a safety shield so it can be worn like a visor or tilted down, but made of flimsy coloured plastic with no UV protection whatsoever. They are popular among the Asian population here. They make them in all the colours you can imagine.

I like the green thing in the background too.

I've seen one or two like that running around. They make sense for delivery and courier work in high density traffic areas.
