Lightweight $5 12v halogen

I wnt to Home Depo today to get a halogen headlight for the MB's, ended up with two for $10!

They almost weigh nothing, all plastic. Just figured I'd let you know, since I thought it was a good deal. They have regular male spade connections on the back.

I hooked one up to a 12v battery and one should be bright enough for most MB's, maybe even on 6v.

Those are replacement lights for Malibu landscape lights.
I cut one up for the lens to use on my home brew headlight.

You can go to NAPA Auto Parts and get a well made cheap priced rubber light bucket that those will snap into.

Very cool! You could also probably use these to lighten up the Harbor Freight chrome off road lights.

Tonight I cut a big hole in my front numberboard for the dirtbike and stuck one in it and drilled two small holes in the back to hold it with coarse screws. I need a resistor for taming the charging of the capacitors, might as well use a headlight and turn the waste into light rather than heat!
