kill switch?

I think I remember it being said that that is not a good idea, I don't remember what thread it was but that's how I recall it. :-)
 
Throwing my 2 cents in: To be honest I thought the killswitch to be a bit on the superfluous side. I mean You can kill the engine by choking it out or dropping the clutch when idling...yeah, how bout that
 
Wait, can somebody clarify for me why they don't use the kill switch? I'v went the opposite route as alot of people on this forum, don't use the tension pulley and do use the kill switch lol
 
I bought an on/off switch from Radio Shack, paid less than 1$ if I remember right. I mounted it under the gas tank so it's not right out in plain sight. When I leave it sitting the switch is the off position. It is also easier to kill the motor while rolling right along.

I used the stock kill switch for four years until it fell apart, I am still using the stock no bearing tensioner....over five thousand miles on it with no problems.
 
Well my first build the tensioner fell in the spokes and i had to walk it home and find a new rim and all. So i'v did away with the tensioner. But the kill switch has always worked fine for me. If it does end up braking i'v got a replacement as a spare :) But somebody say the kill switch like shot them forward? Didn't quite follow..
