Is this true?

I bought a 35.00 exhaust system off of ebay w/ expansion chamber that is ment for a pocket bike. It seemed like when I installed it onto my bike it just wouldn't run very well and my bike vibrated more with it on. Is this true or my imagination?

Sporting 2 stroke exhausts are generally specific to one engine and the state of tune it is in. The porting, carburation and ignition timing will most likely be rather different on your engine to what the pocket bike has, so therefore the pipe will actually be counter productive instead of improving performance.

yah those pipes have to be just right. i found that my old 2stroke ran better with the standard striaght pipe. try a different muffler. i had a cr85 dirt bike muffler on mine, it ran great

You need to support the tail end of the pipe to keep it from vibrating; & you also need to re-jet the carb when you change the pipe. ;)
