I'm new to all motorized bicycles. When in fact Ive not owned one.Since I love building mechanical things. And working on and building engines. This engine powerd bicycle issue keeps coming to mind. However, this is the big question. After I had researched different issues came to surface! For my wanting to use a zenoha over any china made engine. That starts and ends with high quality. From anything you get from japan.Which can not be said or read in most that comes from china.I said most not all or everything.Depends upon what it is and whos name is on it.This is about one thing only. That is used to power a bicycle. Which I'm anything but stupid when it comes to engines and just about anything that goes into building a engine .Not that Ive built any from raw materials.I don't have to when I understand whats right from most wrong.Fast proven by why Id use a japan brand engine of any type before at all using any from china. However, I don't know exactly what all this will take.In terms of money or parts required to build one right. When the one thing I am into is owning only whats been built sanitary. For my meaning of clean and done right. However that words comes typicaly at some price. So please I'm all eyes for wanting to read what those of you with hands on experience with this G62 engine have to say.For anything at all please do tell me.Cost build and performance.

It is a lot more work to mount a Zenoah than a HT engine (China girl) or Hueshang.
The Zenoah engine will require a reduction gear box, which mounts to your clutch.
If you have experience with Zenoha engines, mount one on your bike.
Otherwise, use an HT or Hueshang kit on your first build, IMHO.

I don't think it's wise to build your first bike with a $1,000.00 engine.

http://www.davesmotors.com/Skopod-G62-Built-Engine-Package-.html

In other words, it'll cost $750 extra to install the flywheel, coil, pull starter and 76mm clutch onto this base G62 engine:

http://www.davesmotors.com/zenoah-cr62002-g62pu-engine-longblock.html

If you need Japanese engines, this is the cheapest one with the large clutch:

Don't let the inexpensive price fool you. It's top quality,
not like China engines.

if you know how to fabricate with metal then its possible to do a build like this. still gonna be a lot of work, you're looking at about a hundred hour build if you dont have tools other than a welder, grinder, and hand drill.

Or get an engine kit, follow the build guidelines on various posts here, and be on your way in less than 10 hours.

Chinese-made kit or Japanese engine with Staton, Golden Eagle or other kits, yes, rolling in 10 hours or less.

Ok well that all helps and as for the install I was already expecting that.I should've said that as well. When in fact now I do not have many tools like I did have and this is another real problem area! Just as money now days so happens to be for me.So let me ask this. What is the difference in overall power from the two? Both in stock form and taken to the point where the engines still reliable.Let me back up.Tell you what Id do to the engine and any of them.Id do alittle much much simple port work. When that's all I'm capable of as one with knowledge should know.Id slightly increase the compression. And use the best carb and intake and want a good tuned pipe.Along in seting the engine up so its not all vibration.Which will be rubber mounted. Some form of isolation form as should for any engine less the very best balanced.Which can not at all be done with any single cylinder engine. Not to mention the cost not worth it on anyone of these engines would be insane.I realize you will want to run whatever basicly close to as is.Unless you've got deep pockets and tooling and a lot of time. All of which I no longer have sad to say but so sadly true. When the one thing I can say and it holds truth. Is man I did live in the good ol days! Before being compared to how all live today! Its a sick view in this present nightmare.

You can get by with basic hand tools.
Stay away from Chinese engines, in your case.
Don't expect tem to last a year, and you won't be disappointed.
Japanese engines last forever.

Thankyou, all for the good info! When that is what I was after less the ridiculous cost. When Ive looked at all daves has to offer. So far that seems to be the only place to find the engine. For price and for what you get. What has me throttled was the one comment that one reply had made.As to a flywheel install of a insane amount of 750.00!! How or where he came up with that number is what I fail to figure. When the engine less basicly the fly wheel which cost 40.00 and the coil another 40.00 for which both are a bolt on deal. Now your at 330.00 less afew small parts. Before the rest in what will bolt up to the carb and a nice tunned pipe.Like a jetpro or equal that will also work on a bicycle setup. Now your at a total of around 650.00 so for argument sake another 150.00 should have this engine ready to mount into the frame.Where the next in a grand will cost before Im close to at all happy. And yes this is figured on my doing all the work.Less what just has to be paid for in parts or added machine work.IF for any reason Im not able to have a nice sanitary ride ready to rock! for a whopping two grand then I will glady pass and just buy a motorcycle and be done with all the screwing around! Lets face it there comes a point when whats the point but there isn't one and that's it.Short of saying yes that's the nicest motorbicycle Ive seen! But for all that work and more in money! What in the **** is it really good for?? When you can go out and buy a nice used 520cc dual purpose KTM for that same amount. And do a **** of a lot more.Without all the stress and work. When anyone that has that much money to burn on a build like this.Sure doesn't have to worry about alittle added cash for the gas or insurance. One has to see everything for what it really just happens to be.My problems been Im half madman and half practical. For which most anyone should see the humor.Or we couldn't be having this conversation in the first crazy place!

When this is that real other issues that quickly comes to mind. After watching plenty enough videos of different vehicle and water craft and helicopters. That all run this engine!Whos not going to get into trouble with ol Johnny lawman! When this engine setup properly will far exceed any speed limits set forth for use on any motorbicycle in this grand ticket canyon state! We may have come along ways since the old west lived. But were still with plenty of lawdogs! Looking to ticket or even hang some Wildman hualing fast out of town.Even worse when on one of these that is supposed to only run 50cc and do a max of 25 mph! When this engine will do that speed all day and not break a sweat!Yes Im more than well aware of japaneses engines and technology.OR I would give a thought to building this! When I happened to grow up on our desert race tracks from age 16.When I bought and raced my first jap bike.Since owned a total of 8 ranging from 125 to 500cc Yamaha.honda and CZ. Granted the CZ wasn't Japanese and exactly why I like that one the best of them all. When it was one **** of a excellent handeling bike and real power house to say the least! Last bullet proof That's saying a lot when you look at the country it so came from! For any reason if anyone happens to know anything about those great bikes!Mine wasn't of the old build pre 75 mine in fact was the 1975 that was completely reworked and came as a five speed 250cc motocross machine. The finest handeling race machine of that year. Now think about this! When I paid only 650.00 for it used but not much used.More broke in and ready to fly! When I picked it up from a good friend at the end of that same year. And now you cant as much build a small 62cc single speed engine for that amount!! A basic chainsaw engine for argument sake..cptr. Hows that for some inflation!! Then look at the amount of chainsaw.Ypu can easily get for that amount in all money!
