It's BELOW 50 degrees, I'm looking outside, The ONLY THING
that gives me any joy, is; The AWESOME colors of the leaves
on the trees. (which will soon be on the ground) I've got work to do today.
I've got to drain what's left of the gas in my bike, start it up, run it dry,
and bring it in the house and park it on a diaper till "spring".

I'm officially depressed.:-||

i had to scrape my windows this morning, was in the 30's over night, oh yeah, i don't give a damn for the whole state of michigan ,i'm from oHIo. go bucks.

Crzy you cud always continue to ride in the winter if your prepared for it. I do, ride year round here in Colorado.

You ride year round in Colorado??
OK ... I've got it ... You're MADE of ice!!
(I applaud your integrity) I, however, am
disabled and arthritic so that option is beyond me.
Come get mine. You can keep the cobwebs
blown out for me.

OH! OH!! Go bucks???
(no way dude) GO BLUE!!
30's?? Cam, yer depressing me further!
That's too close for comfort!

I was going to agree with crzyolphart, until you said you had arthritis. Even the slightest chill can make your bones ache. I feel for you. I have a messed up knee from the army and some other aches and pains. Anytime the weather changes or the humidity shifts down here in Tejas, I feel it.

i got fired last march in michigan. i was 950' up on a tower, trying to install an antenna for the digital tv changeover. 30 degree temps, 40mph winds, rain, sitting up there in the clouds. got to the point where i had to call off the job due to bad weather. they told me to do it or you're fired.

i climbed down and went home. best thing that ever happened to me.

30 degrees??? 40 MPH winds???
I am TOTALLY IMPRESSED by your insanity!!
(we've got SOMETHING in common)

Hey sojudave,
I just got an industrial sized tube of icy-hot
I'm willing to share! Tejas? Where's that?
(sounds a WHOLE BUNCH warmer than here!)

I'm in Maine - so I sympathize... meh

I HATE winter, wtf am I doing in Maine ffs?

Well, anyway - I am planning to ride as long as I can into the dead of winter. I'm not exactly young enough for such foolishness anymore but I gotta try lol

*sigh* We should all move south and escape "The Long Cold Dark" o_O

We're having November weather already, October 1st and we get our first frost.

Oh and how can you tell the person knocking at your front door is a Michigan graduate?

He's holding a Pizza!

GO GREEN!

laff

Well I'm a double amputee and also "feel" the baro and temp changes too. But as my MB is my primary and ONLY form of transport I ride year round. It's not really that bad if you layer right........LOL

...and by the way- I LOVE winter and I love Michigan...the state of my birth and first 25 years. Work takes me elsewhere, but my heart stays in Michigan.

Have you ever seen a k-trac? It is a fun addition and reason to ride in the snow! Especially motorized! Available on line, and some sport shops. IT Costs $350.

I have a winter bike that I transfer my motor over to and it's a blast I just dress light and warm.-takes skill and experience to winter ride, but is it ever fun!!!For winter ridding, tires is everything. I have best tires in the world For the rear I use Tioga/Psyco2and Pana racer pyros for front I use Premolar 1
Winter is when ridding becomes fun!especially on motorized bike

OK ... I'll have to agree, but, with explanation;
Sometimes... out of necessity ... The restaurant OWNER must fill in for his STATE grad EMPLOYEES who refuse to quit partying & show up for work!

(Hey dude; you started it!) ;)

Tejas is just plain old Texas. I like to say it in spanish. I live in Austin. We pretty much have year round riding down here. Minus a few weeks of rain. Which normally wouldn't bother me but, I have no fenders on my bike. I really should post a pic here to show it to you guys. It's a huff cranebrook. No fenders, no chainguards, apes, black rims with mt bike tires, black tank. I'm going to be running a 12v light system on it. Someone told me the other day that it looks intimidating. I don't really see it though.
