How to repaint a bike frame

remember when ratlecanning,take yor time,start with a light tack coat and let it set up.
dont try to get it 100% covered in the first coat.
give it proper drying time between coats.
too many layers will induce chipping.
primers,bases and clears should all be from the same company.for compatibility reasons.

Why not just use the liquid brush on paint remover and water wash the stuff of when softened and loose?

You don't use aircraft remover on aircraft because they'll disappear! DUH!.

wire brush to welds. One wire brush to a bike. 6" wire brush.

I have used rol-lock scotch bright pads in one of my right angle drills.
If you aren't too anal about the final result it will probably take about 10-15 minutes.
Powder coating can be tough to power strip so when it comes to powder coat I just give it some 220 grit and red scotchbrite by hand.

When I was remodeling my first motorbike I could not afford the powder coating, so I used this https://www.mrosupply.com/paint-painting-supplies/spray-paint/1386190_k07904000_krylon/ In addition to this spray paint I bought the polyurithane finish.
the most important thing is to degrease and sand the surface properly.
