hi all. just an intro to the forum. my name is mark and i live in houston.

new to the forum, but not totally new to mb's.
i had a "dimension edge" friction drive back in 2000 -- got stolen.
then in 2006 a spooky tooth china girl. long story, that one. don't have it anymore, tho.
then i tried a hill topper front wheel electric. JUNK.
so now, i am at it again.
i have the bike: a electra townie
i have the engine: cy r460, stock (right now, anyway)
in transit to me as we speak: staton inside drive (chain), a staton-supplied 48 spoke wheel
to be purchased shortly: staton shift kit

has anyone else been down this road, or part of this road, before. speak up!

hey-- just opened up my 460, and found out why these engines are such screamers.
this is what i saw!

Nice to see another Houstonian. There are a few Ebikers and MB bikers during the Houston Critical Mass, if you wish to meet up with them. I've seen friction drives and even side cart setups.

yes, i am so glad to hear from another houstonian. i certainly would like to meet up with some. not much point in that yet, tho, till i get my bike rolling under me.
