Has anyone considered trying using something like this?

I tried one but I couldn't find a kickstand to take the weight.

the realities of this matter are actually a little more lame than we would all hope.
most miniature model engines either have almost no compression or have shockingly low max RPMs (or both) because the thermodynamics of metals do not scale as well as the mechanical principals that allow the engine to function. I.E. a miniature engine will run but not manage it's heat well.

so an engine like this would either not be able to propel the bike, or would melt shortly thereafter.


but screw logic, I say put an inter-cooler onto a 50cc V-Twin and get-er-done!

Gore is absolutely correct about these miniature engines.
There is a man here in Colorado who builds them. He has all kinds from 7 cylinder radials to 1/4 scale size Chevys and Offys. They all run and sound great but he freely admits that they don't produce enough 'umph' to power anything. They are only novelties and aren't meant to be a power source for any vehicle. This for the exact reasons GoreWound states above.
