I had enough room on the bike and I live in central Texas where in Summer triple digit days are a regular occurence. It seems that if the whit cable provides 5v at .5 amp, it should be able to power a 120mm 5v computer cooling fan.
This would be like for idling after a hard run, or soft low speed cruising with the wind also at your back. An auxiliary fan with a small on/off switch, obviously turning off at higher speeds when it isn't needed. But there are times when it would certainly help.
I was curious if anyone had ever done something like that before.

You shouldn't need to Idle your bike for long as most stops lights are under 1 minute.

Using the white wire to power a 5v fan will only steel power needed for your spark.

Power your little cooling fan experiment with batteries

Yes, It's been done before

I think the auxiliary wire is pretty useless. The none of the replacements come with the wire on it. An important thing to do as well is to tape off the wire because it can ark if it hits any ground from your bike.
