has anybody tried this bike?

I haven't ried one, but it doesn't look like a good candidate for a frame mounted motor. I'd go rack mount on the La Jolla.
 
Careful, it has an aluminum frame, plus, make sure that it has the holes so that you can add a front and rear caliper brake.

It's NOT a likely candidate.

...but that's not to say it can't be done!

I'm thinking it would be a piece of cake for a two stroke center mount.and look pretty cool too.Not only that but its light weight too.remember,lighter is better.All my bikes are heavy steel and I am concidering moving in a lighter direction.
