Monarch is right. it would be a motorcycle.
Mopeds are 50 ccs and big bore kits go up to around 70 ccs.
I have used turbos for many years and there is a big learning curve. They also need an oil source.

the motor has a internal oil pump, and frankly sir i, just don't give a damn about engine size ;] this was just the biggest motor i could find that will be a direct bolt into a Motoped/cr50 frame that has a internal oil pump to feed the turbo.
I'm only looking to boost the motor about 5 PSI (maybe up to 7 PSI if i can justify it with myself)

As for legality.... most cops where i live are pretty cool about these motorized bikes...and I'm pretty sure a couple of 50cc stickers will help keep them at bay.

This looks sweet! I will keep an eye on this one.

"Faster and faster until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death!! "
I love this quote. Hunter S. Thompson Right?

Actually, Roland and I have been working on just such a project for the better part of a year now! Trust us, making something like this actually work well is not quite as easy as it sounds, and the typical artists/builders on the forums are not usually that well versed in chassis design and setup.
This is not intended to be a jab at anyone, but when you start to move beyond loud stationary engines and discover real horsepower, the learning curve can get real steep. We are having big fun with our project, and think that more people will agree that these little engines are a great platform for MB use!!

this would be cool to do ... but do it right and do it at bonneville ... you might get lucky , and there may not be an existing record yet . BUT , you would have to construct the bike acording to bonnevilesl regulations ( mabey ... depending on the speed you are attempting )

oh wait ( The fastest recorded speed for a moped is Blackball's Motron with 86cc Minarelli V1 under the 100cc A-G Class at 63.656mph )

Someone some time ago ran a double engine Whizzer @ Bonneville. I saw a picture of it in a newspaper. I don't remember if it had pedals or not. It was a record breaker in some class or another. 93 +/-MPH? Memorys will fade.

if you're going for bonneville, good luck. with a 155cc turbo charged engine, you've got a lot of competition. it doesn't matter if it's in a moped frame or not, it's the engine that counts.

here's a list of the records at bonneville. remember, everything's slower on the salt, and you gotta make 2 passes without it blowing up.

http://www.scta-bni.org/Bonneville/BNI_records.htm

if you just want the unofficial, armchair, moped fanatic record, then it doesn't matter what you do to it as long as it's fast.

personally, i'm hoping to go for the 50cc record either this year or next. not sure which class, but i think it's one of these: the "M-G" class record is 84.448mph, or the A-G at 85.927mph.

the supercharged 50cc streamliner record is 131.545mph, in case you were wondering...

Have you been to El Mirage? its somewhat local, and you can get a b%ttload of info there. What else do I think you need? More Money! anything is possible... but $3500 won't get you close to any "world record" unless you're eating hotdogs! GOOD LUCK BROTHER!!!

bairdco, thanks for clearing that up. For some reason I thought that Whizzer was faster. Now, where is my Whizzer? I know I left it around here somewhere.
