gender bent cruiser

wanted to share some photos of my latest project. Found this (formerly) womens cruiser in the trash and cut out the top tube and put in a new one. Spent a long time working on the motor mounts as they had to be slightly offset. Very excited to try this one out!

This is an interesting idea. Speaking of, I have picked up a 1960's Schwinn Hollywood women's cruiser, and I was thinking of doing something similar to that bike. As far as the top tube, did you use a tube from another bike, or did you buy tubing? as far as shaping, my cousin has a tubing bender, so that won't be an issue. I also have a 1968 sears 3 speed touring I was thinking of doing the same to.

Schwinn Hollywood, stronger frame. If it were mine take the top tube and cut the bottom tube, fit the top tube in with a few inches added, would be close to Indian style board tracker, with new top tube...........Curt

Jim Henderson, trading as The Renaissance Man, exported one of his grp TRM tanks to me in the UK. I used it to transform a girl's vintage Hawthorne step-thru into my DECOLINER.
Jim is a true craftsman and his work is top notch. His one-off bikes regularly come out on top in the Rat Rod Bikes Build-Off competitions.

Moto!... I like the thought process!! One would be tempted to dismiss the female versions of these frames, but they're almost BETTER for someone willing to pop the top tube out and replace it with something more useful (but still structural!). Makes a person want to Frankenstein a welded up gas tank/ top tube and throw it in there. :)

I like what you did with the exhaust, I wish I had access to the equipment to do the same
