I also put in a stock (for my carb) jet. The #60 is round and the stock is hex. Good luck. I would start with the clip on the needle at the bottom so the needle is all the way up.

so my buddy got a new carburetor but is not using it so he sold it to me for 20 bucks i put it on and the airfilter dont fit not enough room so i took it for a test ride without the filter on it and i don't get the same power i got from my old carb even with the bogging ..i am getting one of those z intake extenders should be here by Tuesday or wed it says .....any reason why this new carb dont give me the power it should as i was reading on line about those ones?....it was just 20 bucks but i thought i just for once might get lucky with this bike.

i am getting a new jet for my old nt carb hope that will solve the bogging problem......the new carb did not bogg i just did not get the power i am used to with old carb.....any suggestions how to make that new one work

Gill like we said before, there's not a lot of plug and play parts for power or speed, all will take some tuning.

I have one identical to your new one and it didn’t make much power on mine either. That is why I bought a set of jets for my stock one.

so i put the new jet on and set the needle to lowest point......how long do i need to ride before i can see change....i mean does the motor have to be hot to get better result. and if its still bogging i take it i just raise the needle one notch up?

well i must have tried everything possible with my old nt carburetor no matter what i did it kept bogging even with the new 60 jet in it.....so i bought a new carb ....again hoping this would be a better one then i got the other day. this one was not doing good with that z extension but when i used the old intake it was running better still it wont start as good as with the nt carburetor but thats a minor issue when it runs it boggs now and then so i might hasve to lower the needle on notch..but i am still going to order a new NT carb,,wont hurt to have a extra one in stock.

A good test to see where your jetting is, is to remove the air filter & ride the bike at full speed...

If it runs better (without a filter), that means the jet is too big... If it runs worse, that means the jet is too small.

Please try this test & report back. :)

okay i tried both and it runs good and its fast without the airfilter and a lot less bogging down

UPDATE......i am a DUMB ASS
so today i had the time to play with the carburetor and i did the test that the guys from venice motor bikes told me to do and low and behold its running so much better without a air filter, then my one carb started leaking gas like crazy so at that moment i did not wanted to mess with the floater so i grabbed my old NT Carb ....now i have to take the intake pipe that's attached to the cylinder off to remove my carb have no room then i noticed that one of the Allan bolts has 2 washers on it and the other just one. i took the one washer off and put it together again........now comes the real fun part. the engine starts right up and it is suddenly so quiet and runs so smooth.........did that extra washer maybe let a lot of air in and because it had a small gap that also made the engine so loud... and thats why it was bogging so much ....i am generally flabbergasted.........................
