Front Fork Question

I really don't like my springer fork. What would make a good replacement fork? I'm also going to change the rim so I can put disc brakes on the front.

Keep in mind that any of those forks (including a Monark) will raise the front end of your bike several inches!

Hmmm, I want it to set the way it is now. Everything is tight but the front just feel loose, not steady like I think it should.

It should be mentioned that I haven't ridden a 2 wheeler since 1966! So it could just be me...I don't know. Maybe I should have someone else ride it and give their opinion.

i think that is the nature of the beast. maybe bushing and welded side plates, but it might be putting lipstick on a pig. nice looking pig thou.
