First Motorized Build

I was really going for the Derringer look, but considering the size of my tank maybe I'll fashion my bike after this instead!

I've ordered a layback seatpost from Sportsman Flyer and a set of Maxxis Holy Rollers. They should arrive this week. I'm looking forward to getting it all together and taking more photos.

Once you get the motor in and the tires on, the tank will blend a lot better. You can also paint the tank 2 tone or a stripe to break up the size.

With the new tires and seatpost my bike is filling out and taking shape. I need to sort out the front end. After that I’ll move on to the engine.

The bike is going to be nice, I like the forks alot but, do not like the tank at all. Looks so unnecessarily large. Maybe after it is completed with all its parts I'll like it better. Keep up the good work!

I think if you drop the rear of the tank some it might look better, but like allen said looks a tad large.........Curt

Thanks! The tank is taller than I was expecting. I bought it off eBay and it shipped from India, so returning it is out of the question. It’s an odd looking beast for sure, but I like it.

Yeah, the back of the tank needs to come down a bit. The top tube of the frame has a hump to it and because of that the back of the tank sits high. I’m planning on cutting a portion of the top tube out and replacing it with a straight tube in order to lower the back of the tank. That will lower the profile of the bike and hopefully give it a more streamlined look.

The tank should work into the design nicely. Looks endurance ready.
Lol!
Especially with the knobby tires. Once I saw how big my tank is, I decided to style my bike after these.
