fenders

Most people do not run fenders on motored bikes. The reason is viberation weakens the fender mounts. Then they suddenly brake while your going 25 mph or more. The tire grabs the fender and wraps it around the frame. Locks up the tire and down you go. This has happened to alot of members. You may want to just leave the fenders off.

Junster is correct but there are still a good number of fendered bikes out there. The trick is to fabricate new mounts and brackets that can withstand the abuse of motor vibrations and shock at speeds bikes weren't meant to endure. Many, (most) of the department store bikes will have weak fender bracing and you need to be aware of that. As for the Jaguar, fenders from a Schwinn Point Beach will bolt right on as will those from several other Schwinn models. Just keep a close watch on the brackets and fasteners and don't neglect cracks or loose rivets.

My rear fender is a cargo rack with a fender extension made by Zefal. It looks OK on my MTB but probably wouln't on a beach cruiser.

if you want to know what happens when you put fenders on a bike got to usabikemotors.com and hit on the photo gallery and there you will find a bike that had fenders and the mount got loose and got stuck between the tire the person its find but after looking at that picture it makes you think twice
