Well, its finally zapped all together. End result at idle is 101db at the tail pipe. Making a muffler from scratch was a new experience, making it servicable was even more fun.

PS: the engine itself is still 105db! So I dont think this needs to be any better.

Nice job fabbing the muffler... but 101db is still very loud! (the average car going down the freeway is only around 75db)... You can make it a lot quieter by wrapping the fiberglass inside it very tight and heavy. (^)
 
Yeah this little thing is brutal! I'll try and pack more filler in there wen I take it apart for paint and wrapping.

When I put the db Meter up next to the engine or by the expansion chamber, I'm getting 105bd, so I have to figure those out too.
