Re: Disguise MB as Ebike for elec only states

Your right Pops. Just amazing what a badge can do for you. I called the tranportation office and talked to the head of it and was told there is no way they will OK a gas engine on a bike.

The guys that got busted were probably charged with unregistered, licenced, insured vehicle and from what I understand the maximum fine is $5,000 and 2 years in jail. Think your DL is gone and in this province you would need 2 jobs to pay for your insurance. I do stand to be corrected on that. I just have no desire to find out if I'm right first hand.

Figured the bikes would be gone.
Thanks Pops

Steve.

Or how about, dont do something illegal?

It's amazing how people just don't want to go electric.
Yeah, I know it's more expensive, but if you can't afford it, ride a regular bike.
Good exercise and gets you where you're going, until you can afford an ebike kit.
$300 will get you a motor and batteries for a regular bike to make it electric.
Gas costs $200, save up the extra $100 and go legit!
