Hey all. I have a question if disc brakes can be mounted to the front or rear hubs of BMX bikes. I am building a tinier, BMX for motorized applications and would like to integrate a disc brake to the bike if possible!

The most effective brake mounts on the front wheel of every bicycle.

A 180mm manual disc brake, with cable is available on ebay or at your local bike shop.
You'll need a 20" fork with mounts for the caliper.
You'll also need a 20" wheel, having a disc brake hub to mount the rotor.

The disc brake should look really cool on a 20" bmx. Finding a 20" wheel with a disc hub sounds like the toughest part of the conversion. Clamp-on caliper adapters are available on lowrider bike sites.

Yea, I've seen it done before. The hub will be super tough to find, as you mentioned ;(
