DR1L utilizes patented continuously variable transmission (CVT) for direct drive. CVT provides uninterrupted torque changes even operating at max. power and torque. Highest to lowest ratio of the transmission is 2:1. Direct drive used in DR1L has a minimum number of mechanical parts between engine and the tire thus maximizing efficiency. Although we still claim consumption of 1 liter of fuel per 100 kms. some of our customers even achieved better figures.(%15-%20 less consumption) System is so compact and light just like the Honda GX-25 engine and weighs only around 2 kgs. (5 kgs. including engine)

System is controlled by regular motorcycle type accelerator on the right side and by a speed controller on the left side. There is no clutch thus the system can be called semi-automatic. Engine can be engaged and disengaged from the tire while stationary. Bike speed control is usable as before. 4 Stroke Honda Engine is started easily by pedaling and can always be assisted while tackling the impossible hills. While engine is offset to the left this does not effect handling since it only constitutes a minor weight of the whole. (bike+you) Standard single stand of the bike is even usable. Top speed is 45 km/h, total weight is 18 kg , range is 50-55 kms. and it can handle %12 inclines unassisted. Use of 20” folding bike provides lower center of gravity and better handling just like a scooter or a similar electric bike. There is no range limitation as long as you refuel from a small canister or running out of fuel as you can always pedal to the nearest gas station. DR1L is mounted on the V-Brake pivot stems of the bike, as a result we upgrade rear brake to U-type brake used in road bikes for better braking. Since engine is always engaged even when the throttle is released vehicle is stable like a regular motorbike. Engine provides compressive braking as well.
