Cranbrook Springer Forked BTR YD100 Replica Build (without fabrication)

Not much progress on the bike. Have made more progress inside the house. Also spent the better part of Saturday cleaning up the whole acre and taking a load to the dump. Almost have a trailer load for the metal recycler.

anyway, a pic of the tensioner with all bolts covered in brass acorn nuts.

Also used a little red cloth hockey tape to cover up my cdi and magneto wires. Have some tape in black also.

and finally the two different seats.

have made zero progress towards paint. Still tying up loose ends. One being the rear hub seems loose, gonna take it off and see if I didn’t loosen during install.

LOL I only have a couple, also go to store like harbor freight, by individual size regular mm wrenches, I find a 13/16" box & open end does the head tube nuts. I had some so tight I had to really get on it, but saved from cutting it.
Like I said I have a 15mm, 11/16" ( old school ) and set's of cheep wally world that my kid had ( sometimes hard to use, short and bulky ). In the past i use to grind down a wrench if needed. So I would get the set you posted as only going to need them once in a blue moon............Curt

Agree and thanks Curt

A little bike stand I created. It’s strictly for sitting still. Needs to be removed when I ride.

Indian pins holding it on.

Not much happening on the bike front. Got bearing cones wrenches ordered Also ordered some nylon nuts for the remaining needed hardware on the faux leaf spring fork. I got some new valve stem caps in, lol. Also got a brass petcock valve which is nice and small.

The more I look at this faux oil tank the more it looks like an accident waiting to happen. Tolerances are just too tight. Tire will expand with centrifugal force and the chain will stretch and start to make contact with it I fear also. May need to eliminate this from the build.

Texas valve caps, they are a hoot! An armadillo gas tank please on one your builds. A good one would about cover a CH peanut tank. I shouldn't be giving you ideas.
