Clutch problem with Samger 100cc engine

So I just recently installed this engine to replace my seized Triple 40. Everything is setup and adjusted correctly on the clutch but when I pull in the lever to disengage my clutch it won't disengage to where the chain can rotate freely. I've tried adjusting the clutch what feels like a thousand times to no avail. What else can I do? Need some advice or advanced things to try.

I would check the clutch arm cam action, with the clutch cover removed operate the arm by hand, watch the clutch plate to see if it moves. Also make sure everything is there and has enough grease.

You can lock in the clutch handle and back off the flower nut till the plate will rotate, as you ride you will probably have to tighten the flower nut after it’s worn some.

I actually did check clutch arm operation. And from what I can see it’s working properly. It does move the clutch plate out, but seems like one side of clutch plate doesn’t move out from the clutch pads as much as the rest of the clutch plate. I know there’s an internal adjustment with the spring inside the engine. Do you think I should mess with the internal spring setting? Do you think it would help?

Not yet, if you can back off on the flower nut just enough to get it running it will probably seat the clutch pads, then you’ll need to re-adjust it.

The internal spring won’t change what you’re looking at, it will only apply more pressure with the clutch released or apply less pressure depending on which way you adjust it.

Ok. I’ll mess with it more when I get home from work today. I’ll see if I can get a video for you to give you a visual.

If this is a brand new engine?, The clutches often get stuck together from sitting in a box for months.
Pull the clutch lever in & forcefully roll the bike back & forth to break the clutch pads free from the pressure plates...
(make sure the spark plug is in (& properly torqued) so the engine compression gives some resistance to the rear wheel rolling).

Whenever something is stuck I assume it's dry and it gets taken apart and greased... But I take everything apart to make sure all the parts are there and clean up any holidays...

Well I know for sure the pads aren’t stuck to the plate. Because I can easily separate the plate from the pads so trying to see what else can cause it.

Try removing the clutch cable bolt from the engine and see if it's not binding and what's going on in there...

Ok. If I get a chance after work today, I’ll post up a video clip so you all will have a visual. Or at least a few pics.

The pads could be stuck to the rear main plate!!! If you have the front plate off, (& you can see the face of the pads)?, the chain should rotate freely from the engine.

Well guys I think I found the problem. I went out to go mess with it and what I tried was to set the clutch arm and flower nut adjustment then I pulled in the clutch lever with the button and took a Flathead screwdriver and lightly tapped on it with my hammer under one of the teeth on the drive gear and it seemed to sort of "break it free". So I did the same thing about another 4 times and now I can spin the gear with my finger.

I've got a few samger 100's now that the clutch is free hopefully we can get updates on how it runs?
