clutch not working

I’ve been watching this and wondered if you have tried this, with the clutch cover removed operate the clutch handle and see how much the plate moves out from the pads, if it’s a lot the flower nut needs more tension. I squeeze the clutch handle and spin the flower nut in maybe 1/2 round at a time till the clutch stops slipping. You can also move the clutch arm by hand to see if you have enough tension on the cable, sometimes if you don’t have enough you can’t get the clutch right.
i tried that think we have tried everything possible it just keeps slipping i peddle and disengage clutch and nothing happens it just slips

i am living in a very small town and i am not a mechanic at all i have bare knowledge of motors i am a chef ..lol it set me to wonder if i can have it fixed by someone who knows about those things but as i am on a tight budget i dont want to spend more on it to get it fixed right then a new motor would cost me....and i have no shop around here that will fix it

Have you checked to make sure the engine will make a complete revolution? Remove the plug and pedal it around with the clutch out.

Do you have oil or grease on the pads or plate, spray brake cleaner will get it off. Other than tightening the clutch till it holds I don’t have any thing else without seeing it.

you need to adjust the preload. not the clutch flower nut, the actual spring tht engages the clutch plate to the pads. if everything is moving correctly when you check it, adjust the preload spring collar lock
