here is a tool for getting the clutch cable on and off the clutch arm.
in the closed position

squeeze the tool and it opens up the spring and now you can remove the cable off the clutch arm

That is COOL! I really could've used one of these when I did my install. My thumbs were killing me after trying to compress the clutch arm then somehow get the clutch cable connected. I had to have another person help me but it was still hard.

I'd love to get my hands on one of those.....

I've seen something like that in a museum that was used for torture in medieval times. Did you get the idea from that Norm

No I got the idea form taking off the clutch cable and having to fight it off and on. I decided to make it to save my fingers. I guess I haven't looked into the medieval tools lately I wonder if there is a medieval tool catalog of all of your torturing needs?!
to make the cable easier to work on you can slot the cable mount down on the engine so you can remove it completely with out messing with the brass cable end. I haven't done that yet.
