Chief say "how" :)

"LUNA" Is an American Bulldog of about 9 months. ( vet is guessing ) Found her at the local County dog pound. She had been abandoned at the shelter in the middle of the night with no water in between a pair of 118 deg F days. Tied to a handycaped parking sign in the full blast of the rising sun ( the low was 89-90 F ) the shelter didn't open till 9 or 10 and the sun rose at 5:30. When they found her, her temp was reportedly, 110. Dogs seize at about 108. She spent a week in the clinic before she was able to be put in the kennels for adoption. She's only about 70lbs now. She will grow. ( and grow ) [ and GROW ] I do hope her tongue stops growing soon before she starts tripping on it.

Now that looks like a fun Dog! but the purse is for you so we understand He! He! He!
and we do expect Luna to be in future build pic's too!

Believe it or not the tongue is a cooling mechanism for a bog and a cool wet hand , if you have a collar for her tuck the towl in it on the back of her neck it will help handle that Arizona heat a little better

OH SHE WILL ! She cant seem to keep her nose more that 3 feet from "Daddys" butt. The only problem as she cant quite get over the Cat. I think she must have high prey drive as she WANTS to chase the cat. Goes all stiff and unblinking stare... But I bet she was beaten for such behavior. She just kind of freezes and gives the "death stare" The Cat however cant get enough of Luna. ( potentially leathel comedy ensues ) She seriously was missing Chesty. Calling from room to room then coming to yell at me as if I didn't know the dog was missing...

They'll work it out, right now she knows she is the center of attention and as time goes on she will learn that she is not but rather just another member of the family, she's got some cool facial expressions.

Planning to take the Chief up to the Pavilions car / bike show this Sat evening if anybodys interested in showing up. Assuming no monsoon storms.

When you build a Chief M/B and the rain comes while you are riding, you wipe out, when you wipe out you get embarrassed, when you get embarrassed you change your name to Phil Shifly, Don't turn into Phil Shifly and get washed away with the monsoon Rains.
LOL! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Bike looks awesome Velo!

LOL, cracked up at the pic of Luna with her head pitched to the side like "Hmmm?"

So glad to read she is helping the cat feel better and hopefully you as well.

Thanks Dan. The brown tires were starting to get on my nerves. The cream I def like better. Looking back at older pics from when I bought the bike last spring, they greatly darkened over the course of the summer. Wonder if heat has anything to do with it. Gets up to bout 110F in the garage on the worst days.

Don't know who is the lucky one, you or the dog. Actually I'm guessing both.

I had cream Bricks on my 1903 and they were distinctly brown on one side more so than the other. The bike had sat on the show floor at the bike shop for about two years near the front window and the tires discolored from exposure to the sun. Considering your location, UV might be a contributor. Michigan is mostly gray from about September to March yet my tires were a nice gold on the sunny side. The Chief is looking great!

I found this for you too bad it was about 85 yrs. before yer time

Is that a backpack or her booty dragging on the rear tire? laff I been messin again. FINALLY had some time to work on the bike again today and sort out some carb issues ( sort of ) and decided to vint-tig-afy my plug wire. The stock HS plug wire is a lot smaller diameter that the hot rod wire I've had laying around. SO I just took a razor blade and trimmed it :) the old wire unscrewed easy! No glue holding it in. I cut to length did a test fit and JB Kwick welded it in place. Works good! Next chance I get I'll do the same to the Twin! Now that I know the wires just unscrew, this can be done " on the bike " with no need to remove the magneto.
