That's really cool= wouldn't mind one of those- probably get run over here tho
Other problem is the charge time and cost of the SOLAR PANELS to charge it.
(solar panels cost about $800 for his setup.. So it's really a $1500 bike

This is completely inefficient. Anyone who uses solar knows how long it takes to recharge a depleted battery. A electric powered bike will gut a battery in a relatively short time and it will take days for this panel to completely recharge without plugging into the power grid charger. Also for a solar panel to even come close to gathering good sun, it needs to be precisely pointed at the sun at a proper angle. Then you add in the extra weight and overall terrible aerodynamics. Panels are best left off the vehicle to charge before and after a ride.
