Buell Blast joins the Harley Hummer

We've had lively discussions about this over at Cycle World. Many of us would like to see the Harley Sprint name revived with a 350-500 cc single aimed at the starter/commuter market, but with classic standard/bobber styling- like the Hummer.
 
I think you have the right idea by reviving the Sprint.
Most of the used Blasts I've seen for sale have the factory hop up kit (intake, chip and exhaust), leading me to believe that the owners felt that it was underpowered.
The Suzuki S-40 single was tough to compete with.

I think that sales of all beginner motorcycles have been hurt by the popularity of euro-styled scooters.
 
Ahhh, the Harley Hummer...what great memories that conjures up. :) I was 15, and that was a long time ago.

I personally think that was a dumb, cruel thing to do to the Buell Blast. I wouldn't buy an apple from that guy even if he or I was hungry. I don't know art, and am not calling the Buell a work or art, but in my limited experience I have seen some art exhibited that I just knew in my heart the beauty had to be in the eye of the beholder.
