Beware of springer wear!!!!!

Here are a couple pics of the wear that my Felt's springer head and bolt has had.

I have contacted the shop that I got my bike from. I think they are going to help me out.

If you ride a springer, pay very close attention to the wear and tear it gets.

This is with about 170 miles on the bike.

I am surprised at the wear,,,
I have a cheapo micargi springer on my stretch
after 17,000+ miles, the only wear I can find is the rubber bumper is cracking
(anything rubber or plastic dries out quickly in the desert sun/heat)

Wow I would have never thought a Felt fork would wear like that.Glad you caught it be fore it was too late.I def. would not tell the shop the bike had been motorized.I dought that had much to do with it but it will give them a reason to void the warranty.

A good example of parts that were ment to be used at more of a walking speed and not the 30-40 mph that we use them at

Hi .. The spring needs a sleeve bush to take the ware.. so it also can be repaced as a normal serviceable part....
