I want to install a headlight, turn signals and horn to my machine. I want to know which SLA battery you guys would recommend, and how to charge it. I have a key switch wired up, which will disable everything from working when it is turned off. For the battery, I was thinking that there are a few alarm system batteries at my local hardware store for as low as $18. I'm thinking i'll just use the battery that fits on my bike the best, or that I can find a case for. But how should I charge it?

I've seen the whole setup on ebay under $40 with battery & charger included.

I use a rechargeable 18V drill battery for my lights. Already had the batteries and charger, and it fits well on my oval tube frame with Velcro ties and/or zip ties. Lasts about a week of short jaunts before it requires charging. If one can find a way to mount one solidly, I highly recommend it. Not the prettiest, but functionality and reliability are good.
