Axel Snapped in half =[=[

Just today. was going then it just stopped. pulled apart and it snapped in half =[ But its a ****ty bike from big w. Is this the problem?

I'm guessing it's a coaster brake hub?
If so, the brake arm probably stripped and as the brake cone rotated (when you applied the brake), it stretched & snapped the axle.
