Air Filters, Oil Filters And Gas Filters Are The Best Thing To Happen To Engines. The Oil Bath Air Filters Are The Best. K&n Propably Next Best. Imho.

These engines are pretty crude and inexpensive, so if there were an engine to run without a filter....that said I personally like to make stuff last and the carb inlet is close to the back tire.....a few grains of sand can grind all your hard work.

Here's what I use:

HEY PABLO, I DID NOT REALIZE YOU STOCKED THAT AIR FILTER. LOOKS LIKE A K&N OR EQUIVELENT FILTER. MAYBE EVEN BETTER!!?? I HAVE AN ORDER LIST MADE OUT FOR 1/2 DOZ OF YOUR PARTS. I WAS WONDERING ABOUT A SMALLER FREE WHEEL CRANK SPROCKET HOOKED UP TO THE JACKSHAFT OUTPUT SPROCKET FOR MORE LOW END STARTING POWER, AND MORE USE OF THE HIGHER GEARS ON THE CASSETTE. I KNOW YOU HAVE A 10% SMALLER SPROCKET. I HAVE NOT INSTALLED MY SHIFT KIT YET. MAY NOT BE NECESSARY TO GEAR LOWER, BUT I AM XXX LARGE!!! IT IS ONLY 60 DEGREES ABOVE ZERO HERE THIS MORNING!! laff 5 BELOW BK HOME. .sno. WITH YOUR AND GHOSTS` SHIFT KIT ETC AND JIM AT CREATIVE ENGINEERING IT LOOKS GREAT FOR MB`ING. AND DON`T FORGET HIKERS` LITTLE HELPERS!! .wee.

It's made from an Amsoil EaA Air Filter: AMSOIL Ea Synthetic Nanofiber Air Filter (EaA)

I like the low end grunt of the 9T sprocket, makes first and second gear real stump pullers.

a clean air is always good for the engine... dust and sand can clogged up your carburetor and grind up the internal parts of the engine...
