9.4 morini questions

so i'll be building me a 9.4hp morini bicycle this spring/summer... i just have a few questions and i hope y'all could help me the best you can

firstly, i'm a petite and light guy weighing only 125lbs... what rear sprocket size would be ideal for me for all around... I have a 40t sportsman rear sprocket adapter at the moment, but don't know if i really need to buy another size or not?

secondly... what exhaust pipe works well with the 9.4? i read the kx65 pipes work okay, is this true, or is there anything better out there?

thirdly, what air filter fits and works well?

If your going to run a 110mm rear frame spacing you'll need to offset the engine to the right in the frame for proper chain alignment. If you offset the engine you'll run into pedal clearence problems. Even if you center the engine you'll still find you need a 9 1/2' I.D. on the crank arms. The Morini is pretty wide.

I hope I never see some body ever try a cheesy coaster brake hub.:-{laff The Morini is just way too powerful for those brakes IMHO

Here is a major thought You will need real brakes! I absolutely love my disk brakes I run 185mm rotors. They can throw you clean off the bike stopping on a dime.. I have ran Hayes hydraulic and Avid BB7's Mechanical both proven under world championship down hill competitions.
They rule I luv disk brakes!!(^)

Disk brakes have become pretty much flawless over the last ten years..

As for a air filter their are ton's of choices out there there are foam ones and nice K&N style ones etc..
 
thanks for the help and tips! i have the morini coming soon... but i don't have a frame/bike yet... i'm thinking of going with an old mtb frame or road frame... so i should have a rear spacing of about 130 - 135mm

another question i have is where can i find a strong rear wheel with a shimano 110 hub or similar, one that the sportman sprocket adapter can bolt onto, but WITHOUT a coaster brake...

I have one of the BoXer bikes I went out and did a quick eyeball measurement without removing the hub. Its at 135mm I am sure knowing its history of inception. This is from drop out to drop out. With that hub that gives a guy with welding skills a disk brake on the right side.

Sportscarpet has a nice Drum Brake moped hub custom for the Morini its at I believe 130mm but don't know if that is drop out to drop out?

I am pretty sure Sportscarpet will make a sprocket adapter for most any hub.

last i heard he was holding off on that till the cb-110s are all taken care of although he was considering making one that people can size for themselves.

he was up for any size sprocket though, he said that was the easy part.

unless he posted something and i didn't see it.
