Looking for some advice before moving forward with this thought. This is what I would like to do with this rear Worksman drum.
In order to attach the 45 tooth sprocket to the drum I would need to drill six holes in the aluminum and then attach directly to the drum with machine bolts. I'm concerned about the strength of the drum, will it hold up to the torque of the 2 stroke engine? Do I need to use any kind of spacers so the sprocket does not sit directly against the spokes? The way the sprocket is currently sitting on the drum seems to line up best with the motor and does not interfere with the brake arm. Any help / thoughts would be great.
