hey guys, just realized that my rear wheel is a disc setup and right now i have a set of hydrualic discs on theree, my question is when i put the sprocket on, won't the disc get in the way? thanks

Look around this site, there is a seller here who sells a sprocket to fit your disk. Easy as pie.

Re: mounting 70cc kit on bike with rear disk brakes?

You are probably going to lose the rear disc, as sprocket and disc will not fit. The good thing is as toy stated there is a vendor that will make a sprocket for you that will bolt where disc is now. Makes it alot easier to get chain aligned. Just look to the left.....

i am going to be trying the bolt on the disk mount on my new motorized bicycle also. gonna be buying the new sprocket from kings motors who has them drilled for mounting on the disk mount

Re: mounting 70cc kit on bike with rear disk brakes?

Maybe "kings" can custom make a sprocket & disc brake all in one!!!
(like Exile Cycles)? That would be BAD ASS!!! (^) (c)

Or with a jackshaft kit you won't need to mess with the stock brake set-up.

does any one have the link to that site? i don't see it to the left. thanks

three quextions-

1.) When will they be market ready?
2.) Final price with shipping?
3.) Will it eat a cheap W-Mart Moondog type derailuer?

ohh, so there not even on the market yet. :( I guess I will have to find another old 26" wheel till the mount comes out.

1) Mid-End of June.
The design is locked in. I'm almost done with the installation manual. We have almost all our suppliers locked in and lead times down. We need a couple more first article parts, but it's getting very close. We probably announced it too soon - sorry.
2) $199 plus shipping UPS depends where you live.
3) I doubt it. I purposely have been doing some fairly harsh shifts under power, no clutch, with my Shimano (yeah I know), and it hasn't exploded. The twist shift is the bee's knees, it's pretty easy to have the coordination to get off the throttle to shift.

Re: mounting 70cc kit on bike with rear disk brakes?

Just so you don't get confused, the sprockets are out now, and bikeguy was talking about a jackshaft, which would bring your chain over to the right side of the engine.
A really cool idea , by the way.

okkk, so the 199 is for the jackshaft, whats the advantage of that bye the way? ya, so whats the price on them disc sprockets? didnt see that on the site
