it's been many long time since I've been here.
I have taken a few side trips, and am thinking about getting back into building another bike.

The last one I built was a custom job that I built for my dad and gave to him for Father's Day
and he gave it away to somebody else a couple of weeks later .... It broke my heart and I just got out of building bikes.

Are the kits these days any better than they used to be? I see they're still around 100 to $150 for the "80cc" kits.

There's the eBay kits then a few forum sponsors have higher quality built engines. You tend to get what you're willing to pay for.
