Darn Kids are causing all of the new legislation to be passed. Most of them I bet aren't even of age to get a drivers license.
They will pass a bunch of, "Look what we did to save the children." laws that assures them that they have something to point at when election time comes and they will do nothing to stop the kids but will stifle every ones rights and give the police something to use against every one riding. They won't set the age limit to 16 years though because the kids have rights and angry parent don't vote whoever restricts little A-holes rights to ride.
Bringing them home and handing the parents a $600 ticket is even worse. I saw that with dirt bikes and snowmobiles.

It isn't just ebike riders. Notice the layers are in on it as well. Let me know if it can be seen. Copy right laws in Canada are strong and may not allow it to be shown outside of Canada

I got my motorcycle license on my birthday in 1968. Right off the bat I was riding illegal because 15 yr olds were restricted to 5 hp, and my s90 had 8 hp. 58 yrs later my eBike has 8 hp, and I'm still riding illegal. I'm not holding my breath waiting on a crackdown lol.
This was on the Minneaplos news last night, so will have to wait and see what they come up with. They did state the curant laws, 16 to get a license and the speed, so maybe the will enforce them again. Kind of took me back 70 years ago when I had my Factor Monark I was late16 before I got my license. So doged the police for a year before I got legal. Seems what goes arounf comes around. seems to me How you ride and obay the laws, weather you get picked up or not........Curt

I hauled grain at 14 yrs old to the elevator using paved roads and gravel roads in a tandem axle truck when grain was being shelled on farms.
That was illegal at my age but knowing the traffic laws is real important and stoplights along with stop signs are for protection at intersections.
I was still 14 when I got a Cushman Scooter and Parents need to discipline the kids better plus instill on them driving lessons before they get
their drivers license. Even the kids on the small Scooters need to be know the vehicle laws on streets and on a sidewalk the dangers associated
to riding even on sidewalks with pedestrians. Even a bicycle is dangerous on a sidewalk and riding a Ebike or high horsepower scooter that has
a lot of weight and speed is dangerous in Pedestrian areas if ridden in such areas. Most of the crackdowns are caused by hooligan gangs which
started out in the metropolitan areas like California. The hooligan gangs got on YT videos and kids watch YT and are impressionable at a young
age.

Cops won't bother you if you obey the laws and obey traffic control devices abiding to traffic speeds in posted areas. Being stupid and showing
off will get a Person in trouble and young kids get tempted by watching other kids being reckless and even on videos. Riding on city streets are
always dangerous and a 16 year old should know the traffic laws through Drivers Education courses from school.
