Jus wondering if anyone here just lets their engine run without an exhaust pipe or a very tiny exhaust pipe that basically prevents rocks and debris from falling into the piston chamber....
Is there a reason why it didn't last long? So why do I need an exhaust? My ancient Cox .049 engine had no exhaust pipe. It didn't last very long.
Would an exhaust box work if I welded it into on a pipe that was then affixed to the cylinder outlet? The lack of an exhaust as I understand causes the engine to overheat as the pipe takes the hot gas away from the engine. This is why later on cox put little exhaust boxes on the higher end .049’s and actual exhaust pipes on the bigger “bees”
