friend of mine did my first bike i blew engine i put new engine on it myself but back tire got bent so i put that kit on new bike took forever to get ragjoint right but i got it went to fire it up it started up for a min and it will fire but wont stay running! any ideas from the masters of motorized bikes?

Sometimes you have to play with the choke while starting, lower it slightly when it hits. Every engine is different and they usually get better with run time.
It won’t hurt to clean the carb, unscrew the top and leave the slide on the cable, if you haven’t had one apart they are very simple.
Make sure you have good gas flow to the carb, remove the fuel line and turn on the valve and let it run in a container, if the flow starts slowing down loosen up the cap on the tank to see if the flow picks back up. Sometimes the cap vent gets clogged.
Try riding with the cap loose, it sounds like fuel starvation, I doubt it’s the plug wire itself, maybe a coil or cdi
Are you using the in tank fuel filter or a in line filter? The in tank filters are poor quality and restrict flow
Yeah I got one of them fuel filters gonna clean carb one more time and do everything you recommended and I am thinking it will start this time if not think I will hire someone who knows what they doing
I think I know what the problem was! The spark plug boot was coming off plug that's why it started and when I hit a bump it would lose connection ! Off to auto parts store tommorrow and thanks alot Greg I appreciate your help
