What is the best way to mount the front motor mount when it is about 3 1/2 inches away from the bike the instructions say to drill a hole through the bike and use a long bolt with the special adapter plate I did this and my bolt may have been cheap but it broke within the first 2 miles, it was Very secure with back up nuts on all sides to lock it down and my two-stroke seems to vibrate a lot more than I thought it would any ideas on cutting down the vibration and securing The front motor mount

Sorry to here that, should study the forum before doing. Never drill a frame without first welding in a sleeve to keep the frame from crashing.
Next never use rubber inbetween the mounts, mount them solid , you are going to have to find a a exstension from one of the sponsors on side bar. Welcome aboard.......Curt

I would add, that thin sheet metal shims should be used for mounts that have a very small area of contact on the frame, such as muffler clamps, and u bolts themselves. I do this to try spread out the area of pressure on the frame, and avoid fatigue cracks.

I personally cringe at the idea of drilling into a frame, but Curts recommendation would make it alot better.

good luck and enjoy. it will be frustrating, but ultimately rewarding if you can work it out.

You should be able to get on the Internet and find out what millimeter bolt that is and buy them from a hardware store they don’t have to be cap bolts hardened nuts and lock washers will work
