Hill Climber Tribute with Sportsman Flyer Frame

Hey Guys, I mainly lurk around these days and haven't posted in a while. I wanted to share my most recent build and welcome your feedback. It's the first one I've built in a while that wasn't custom for a customer and I could do things how I wanted them. I let one of Pats frames rust a bit then clear coated it over for that raw look. I used 24" wheels with a SA front drum to fit bigger tires for the hill climber theme. Let me know what you think!

Nice one Keith! Thats going to age and patina well if you leave it bare. Might rethink your tensioner but other than that I love it! What tires are those? Look about right for a hill climber trib. EDIT: Good on ya for putting a front brake on it. but it doesnt look familear to me. Whats the make? One side looks like Felt hub but the other is clearly drum or band.

Thanks for the feedback! It’s a Sturmey Archer Front hub. I may end up changing the pedals and tensioner but it’s peppy and works well for it is.

I have idler sprockets that bolt right on to that frame with the tensioner bracket that comes on frame.
Thanks for the kind words, Pat! It means a ton. I've used several of your idler sprockets in previous builds. They are great quality but couldn't justify the cost when I had so many of the kit ones laying around. lol. I may break down and get one before selling this bike. Any Christmas discounts? :)

I checked with Santa and he said we could work something out. Give me a shout.
