I have one of those kits bought on ebay. At first it ran good, after a while it has really slowed down. I have replaced the nt carb for a "performance " one thinking i had a carb problem. It runs down the road alot slower than it used to. It starts and runs normally, i just dont have the speed i used to. Suggestions?

bummer as that is easiest to fix - now, you'll need to go thru whole list of possible leaks, and muffler clogs, and spark gaps, and cylinder wall appearance, and compression test, etc.

How are you mixing your gas & oil?

Was there any specific thing that you noticed the engine doing right before it lost power??

Im mixing 20-1 using lucas 2 cycle oil. It didnt do anything different and that is what has me stumped. Although i would like to upgrade from this engine after i have resd up on whats available out there. I commute to work every day on this and would like to run 35-40mph. Any suggestions on what to buy that i dont have to spend a fortune on?

I just read some other posts that people are mixing 40-1 & even 50-1. What is the mixture you have found that works best? Will mixing 20-1 really result in a power loss like this?
