Well as y'all read on my title yup it's my first build and so I was hoping to get some advice,suggestions, tips, etc... on what would be the most practical way to build my cruiser. So I chose a 212cc predator motor. Basically what I'm asking is would a torque converter work fine on it? My daily commute is fairly moderate terrain, I do have three hills to climb and that's going one way. Not so steep.

Excellent Ton and Welcome! Several or many successful 4 stroke builders here. You have come to the right place. I plan to build my "Swan Song" bike. It Will be four stroke. Done many 2 strokes after 6 yrs I'm ready to change the game. I So much want a flathead Briggs. Again Welcome! Somebody will come along to give some advice,suggestions, tips, etc...who builds 4 strokes.

Welcome Tom! Yes torque converter work really well, give you a low take off speed and change to higher ratio at speed. Just what you need in hills, then to flats.
But also check your local laws, 212 are to big in most states, here in MN 50 cc and 2 hp max.
Go to board tracker, and DIY sites and study some of the older builds, you will learn a lot.
