Sounds like its a tad bit high to me,

No pops, no misfires, rich/lean tested, exhaust doesn't glow cherry red.

I got it up for sale Georgetown, WA IF ANYONES INTERESTED.

Fell short on a rig to put it on so I would rather sell it.

You didn't even let it idle. Let us actually hear the idle... Hopefully you warmed up the engine before making that video? If you free revved my motor like that 1 second after starting it cold I'd smack you!

It's already warmed up just no throttle cable starts on a high idle and governs it's self.

I rev down the engine it stays at a constant high idle like a generator "with hands off the throttle."

Difference is this engine has a "static arm" with the governor spring attached to it unlike the 8HP models.
The 8HP have a side mounted control bracket....

I already was well "aware" it needs idle dropped down will have to look in the carb body and see if the screw on its side controls the throttle plate.

If not I'm pulling specs from Briggs that engine is not 3500 rpm because my 8 operates at 2750 rpm exact recommended by Briggs and GPS verified but it's also 4x louder then the 3HP.

In comparison they are two different carb designs, but when at idle the governor has the same set position pull. I really want to keep it but until there is a bike no go...

Get that predator out of here targeting my baby engine lol

It's a PREDATOR! LOL yeah well last I still would like to know would it be effective to (rear rack mount) the engine on a axle type rack or center mount I still want to remove my motor at night, possibly also going to have hooks welded to the block to chain it down.

Last but not least, I have no flywheel key looks like the flat type where's a good hardware store to get keys for the shaft?

I am also going to need to mount a tensioners roller to take the droop off so I don't snap a shaft or throw a chain.

Get paid tomorrow so may be able to snatch up this old beach cruiser.
