What do you mean no fenders? Several company's make fat bike fenders that fit the Storm. And you're obviously referring to the EBR video review. That guy's an idiot. He's supposed to be an authority on eBikes, but he had to pay a bike shop to assemble his bike for him. The same bike that thousands of nubes assembled for themselves without problems. The bike shop that assembled the bike saw an unused plug, that's actually for an optional LCD display, and assumed it was for the pas. All the Storm's come equipped with functioning pas. Many owners report 30 plus mile range riding on pas only, and the record I've seen so far was 41 miles.

About the only thing I don't like about the Storm is the big tractor tires. As soon as I get my bike, they'll be the first thing to go. This has my attention. This is pure sex. 26 x 2.5 tires on 4" rims. Actually the inside width of the rim is only 65mm.

Yeah I like the 26x3.5 tires a lot better than the 26x4 tires. I still haven't seen any fenders though only motorcycle fenders at 200 bucks each. Kind of steep so if you know any good links hook us up.

I really don't care for those big tires either. We don't have any beaches or snow in Dallas.

This company makes fenders for fat bikes, and this kit would be a good candidate for a Storm.

Kinda wierd tires too some of the knobbies are rounded like they are melted or bad mold. Works fine.

The rims are Weinmann Rim Alloy 26x4.0 DHL65 32h black or
Same rim Origin-8 OR8 26x4.0 DAT-PRO65 32 bk.
I bought 1 off eBay and a 36h from here http://custommotoredbicycles.com/fat_bike_wheel_parts_170mm_hubs_26_x_25_wide_rims

Had to paint a raw aluminum

Seems like the shipping on that 36h was over $20...

It's not a powerhouse, but it's very stable and easy to ride. A great beginner bike, or a good bike for a biknut. It has a thumb throttle, and also pas. Both are always active when it's turned on. Right now the pas in only usable in the lowest power setting, but I have the optional Storm LCD display on order that allows use of all 5 power levels. As I said, it's very stable, and feels more like an extremely lightweight ridged frame motorcycle than a bicycle.

I spent 5 hours setting it up so everything works perfectly. The mechanical brakes are the best I've ever sampled. Very quiet, and good power for the speeds this bike is capable of.

I've never tried pas before, and thought it was a dumb idea, but after trying it I find it intriguing. The bike is so stable, it's a gas to pedal along with no hands hardly applying pressure to the pedals on a flat. I've heard of complaints about pas having a lag both turning on, and off, but the system on this bike seems good quality. Seems like there's less than half a pedal stroke, and it's on, and it turns off instantly with you stop pedaling. You can hear a slight whirring sound when the pas kicks in.

Last night a pace bike reported 17 mph on a flat with throttle only, but surprisingly on a slight uphill grade it runs 18 mph. Full throttle and padaling it did 21 mph. I think my smaller diameter tires may have dropped the top speed a little.

I'm running Maxxis Hook Worm tires that are supposedly 26 x 2.5. My rims are 3" wide inside width, and these tires are 3.3" wide mounted. Circumference is 2133mm, as compared to the stock tire 2346mm. Pictures of these tires mounted on the rims don't do them justice. They look like a million dollars.

I haven't ridden enough to comment about range yet, but people in the owners group are all over the place form 13 miles to 48 miles as an extreme.

The thing that stands out about this bike more than everything else is the great looks, and extremely good build quality, but in order to realize that it's necessary to spend time setting the bike up right, fresh out of the box.

There's no question about it now, Storm Sondors knocked this one out of the ball park. My total cost for this bike was $693 shipped.

I forgot to mention, I cut a little over an inch off the seat post, and with the seat all the down, which is where it is in the picture, and where I like it best, seat height is 33 inches. I can sit one the seat, and place both feet flat footed on the ground with ease, and I'm only 5'10".

I don't need perfect pedal geometry, because it's so easy to pedal, but if I ever do need to do some real pedal work, it has a quick release seat post clamp so it's very easy to raise the seat.

Looks like it was worth the wait! I wish I had one. I would have got a black one though. I had a yellow bike when I was a kid. Banana seat bike. I hated it

Storm is now offering a factory LCD display designed specifically for this bike on their own stand alone website for $100.

It allows you to select from 5 power levels of pas, and also unlocks the 20 mph top speed.

The indiegogo campaign is now officially over, and you can no longer order complete bikes there. Storm is in the process of moving to his own ecommerce webstore @ Gosondors.com. Right now you can sign up on a waiting list for future bike sales, for a $649 eBike. I'm glad to see him getting away for indiegogo, because of all the trolling that was going on, on the comments page.

Bikes are still in the process of being delivered all over the country as we speak, and International bikes are just now getting in owners hands. The bike is getting rave reviews from owners, and is going to cause a new sensation all over the world as new owners get used to riding their bikes.

It's going to be hard to stop Storm now. I can tell you as a rider with over 50 years experience, this bike is exactly what the eBike industry needed to jump start eBike sales in America. The low cost appeals to new riders that have little experience, and aren't looking for anything faster than a normal bicycle. With the active pas, and thumb throttle, plus good disk brakes it's very easy, and unintimidating to ride. This bike has an appeal to new riders that the gas bikes were never able to come close to. I predict that we're fixing to see millions of these bikes sold probably just in America alone.

I went to the sonders website. Don't see no lcd display. but. it sounds like the one I have.

I think you are right, people like to ride bikes.

A lightly powered ebike with PAS is like always riding downhill or with the wind at your back, easy and fun and just a joy. I prefer direct drive hub motors as no gears make no noise.

As I said, my next one will be PAS only, no throttle, but with the adjustable PAS level control. That way you can vary the angle of the down slope and the speed of the wind at your back - :)
