The last race was a final warning to a few racers who had beers taken from
them before the April 13th heats.

If we have to lose a few racers so be it. Asking racers to not drink alcohol
from morning to about 4.30 PM is not asking a lot. :)

SMBR = SoCal Motor Bicycle Racing has been a very friendly and low rule
organization and will continue to be so. The spirit of the races is that it is
a Fun event but basic safety rules will be enforced for the good of all and
to ensure that SoCal Motor Bicycle Racing grows and flourishes with a
continuing record of no serious injuries.

We have 40 days to the June 1st race which is our 7th race and 2 year
anniversary.

There will be a full set of SoCal Motor Bicycle Racing rules posted very soon
and every participant will be issued a copy at the gate when you sign in.

Also the rules will be posted on the notice board at Grange Motor Circuit for
spectators who want to start racing.

A temporary SoCal Motor Bicycle Racing website will be at:
http://MotorizedBicycleRacing.blogspot.com

ALCOHOL

In the interest of the safety of all members and their crews, and spectators
alcohol consumption is not recommended at SMBR events prior to, or during a race.

Alcohol consumption is not permitted by any rider during the race.

Alcohol can be consumed by non-participants in spectator areas only and
not in the pit area.

At Grange Motor Circuit that would be outside the gate as there is no
separate fenced pit area and no way to enforce the alcohol rules.

This is per our insurance rules and Grange Motor Circuit rules.

Alcohol can be consumed in the pits after the event is over.

A SMBR racing event is officially over AFTER the last race of the day and when
the Race Director or Announcer, announces that the event has concluded.

No riding on the track will be allowed after the last race until the Trophy and
Prize Ceremony
has concluded.

PLEASE SHOW UP PROMPTLY for the Prize and Trophy Ceremony which will be
1/2 hour after the last race, Thanks.

Any racers or new riders wanting to get some track time after that must get
a pass from the race director and you can not have been consuming alcohol.

If any racer or crew-member is found to be intoxicated they will be asked to leave
the pit area and possibly the racing venue and all fees paid will be forfeit.

If the rider or team member violates this rule a 2nd time, the rider and/or team will
be not allowed to race and only attend as spectators.

SMBR takes safety very seriously and will not compromise the safety of the
riders and/or their families and spectators.

The same rules applies for ANY ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE.

MEDICATION

If for ANY reason, a rider is taking any type of medication which may impair their
reflexes or judgement in any possible way, they must notify race direction.

A mandatory examination of the rider to be performed by on site EMT may be
requested by race direction to test if the rider is fit and alert enough to race.

IF ANYONE IS DISCOVERED TO BE RIDING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANY
SUBSTANCE ILLEGAL OR OTHERWISE WHICH MAY IMPAIR THEIR RIDING,
THEY WILL BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE RACE EVENT.

Race direction will decide if the rider will be suspended or banned from racing for
that day or permanently.

All fees paid will be forfeit and each situation will be handled on a case by case basis.

You want to help?

SoCal Motor Bicycle Racing could really use a set of 5 walkie talkies for
the 2 flaggers, starter, scorer and myself at a minimum.

If you have a set lying around that you don't use they would really help
out at the future races.
Thanks

if you have a black and white laser printer with a USB connection we
could use that too.

SMBR has a nice set of flags and a very low tech lap counter!

here is an update from the other side and the infamous jaguar.

yeah my motor didnt make it to the race.

Im really frustrated.

JNM told me to make a race engine for them. I worked my rear off to get it done in time. Then he dont even use it! Not the first time.

He said he wanted to try my torque pipe also. I sent him one free of charge and he never even tried it. :-(
If you want something done right you have to do it yourself. .
Don't worry there is another SoCal Motor Bicycle Racing event on Saturday
June 1st back at Grange Motor Circuit racing the track in reverse which is
clockwise.

This will only be the second time we have raced clockwise so new racers will
be on a fairly even footing as it is like racing a totally new track.

JN Motors Bikes said their rider was sick and it is a loong way from Seattle to
southern California so I can understand why they didn't make it but I am sure
that they will be there on June 1st.

www.JNMotorsBikes.com gave us some very cool prizes for the new Amateur 2 Stroke Class.

Walbro stage 1 carb with adapter, JNM Damp-Pro Kits
Thanks

Please read this document carefully and if there is ANYTHING you do not agree with
DO NOT sign it and enter Grange Motor Circuit at any future events.

On Saturday Race day at 6am there will be someone at the gate with waivers and wristbands.

Any Friday arrivals that camped overnight and did not sign a waiver and get a wristband on
Friday please go to the gate to sign in when you wake up on Saturday morning.

All riders and spectators must print and sign their name on the waiver, then have a wristband
placed on their wrist until they leave the event.

Riders and Spectators wristbands are different colors and insurance is paid on all wristbands
issued.
Only Riders can ride on the track.
Spectators must upgrade their waiver and wristband to ride on the track.

EVERYONE at SoCal Motor Bicycle Racing events must have signed the waiver and be wearing
a Rider or Spectator wristband that is visible.

The race waiver is the same as we have been doing at every race.
It is standard operating procedure for these kind of events.

The race waiver will also be posted in a new race thread for the June 1st race
later today on the first page along with all the other important details.

The race waiver will be posted on http://MotorizedBicycleRacing.blogspot.com

The race waiver will be posted on www.facebook.com/MotorizedBicycleRacing in
the notes section along with other documents.

The basic race info is also at www.facebook.com/MotorizedBicycleRacing/info

Thanks for your help.......

Thanks for emailing me and registering for the June 1st race.

You have race # 727
and your friend mannyfresh has # 951

You guys will definitely be in the Amateur Class as new racers even if
your bikes have been modified unless you are running an Arrow Motorized
Cycles 9.5 HP case reeded motor! :D

What class you will be in is a combination of your bike and your track
experience and skill on a Chinese bicycle motor bike.

Amateur
Intermediate
PRO

Amateur class will have some very cool prizes just like the last race with
a Grubee aluminum bicycle frame from Piston Bikes as the grand prize for 1st
and billet heads from CR Machine plus a lot more!

Lawyers ? WTF are you talking about.

Read the waiver carefully and if you don't like the terms don't sign it, OK?
It's that simple............

Making jokes about suing the race is in very bad taste.
